Welcome To Rwanda

Rwanda is a small, landlocked country in East-Central Africa, often called the “Land of a Thousand Hills” because of its scenic rolling landscapes. It is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and its capital city is Kigali. With a population of around 14.7 million people, Rwanda’s official languages are Kinyarwanda, English, and French, and its currency is the Rwandan Franc. The country experienced the tragic 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, during which approximately 800,000 people were killed, but since then it has made significant progress in reconciliation, stability, and economic development under the leadership of President Paul Kagame.

Rwanda is famous for its breathtaking natural attractions and unique wildlife experiences. One of its top attractions is Volcanoes National Park, where visitors can trek through the mountains to see endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
