Welcome To Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa bordered by Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan, and it lies along the equator with part of Lake Victoria within its borders. Its capital city is Kampala, and the country has a population of around 45 million people who speak English, Swahili, and many local languages. Uganda gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1962 and is currently led by President Yoweri Museveni. Known as the “Pearl of Africa,” a name popularized by Winston Churchill, Uganda is famous for its natural beauty, including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas, and Murchison Falls National Park, as well as being one of the sources of the Nile River. Its economy mainly depends on agriculture, especially coffee, and it has a rich cultural diversity with over 50 ethnic groups, each with unique traditions, music, and food.
